Rye cover crop floated into soys Aug 24th @ COFS demo with good growth @ Sep30 vs Sep 16th seeded with little germination yet. Difference is mainly rain right after first seeding. See seed from Sep16 still lying ungerminated. Pics taken between 2300(R) and 2775(L) chu varieties.
This is interesting (at least to me)! Fall rye planted 2019, roller crimped spring 2020,Summer20 crimped rye continued to grow to make viable seed which is Oct20 now germinating on the head lying above soil but roots grew in air to get into the soil.
