Previous research has led to industry recommendations for fertilizer nitrogen rates for Ontario sugarbeet growers that balance increase root yield and high sugar content. This project aims to develop a nitrogen calculator for Ontario sugarbeets, but needs multiple cooperator sites to gather the needed data. Ideal sites have no or starter-only nitrogen fertilizer applied, so that researchers can apply four nitrogen rates to measure root and sugar yields.
